Standing Rock Statistical Profile

United State Census Bureau>

Here you will find relevant statistics gleaned from 2000 Census data that present a demographic view of Standing Rock broken down at the level of the 8 administative districts (tribal census tracts). The data presented here illustrate the profile of Standing Rock and its people according to the findings of the Census 2000 surveys. More data from a variety of statistical sources will be added in the future.
The data presented here is based on surveys done of the whole of the population as well as samples a portion of the population. Sample data is mathematically extrapolated to be representative of the population as a whole.
Race data is very specific. Race data stating that someone is one race (For example American Indian Alone or White Alone)does not count those who claimed more than one race category. This can be an area of confusion when interpreting Census data. If you have any questions or comments about the data presented here, please contact Mark Holman at Sitting Bull College Library Census Information Center. Telephone: 701-854-8024 or Email
